1964 Austin Cooper S (1071cc)

In 2006, this car was photographed by Bizarre Creations for the production of Project Gotham Racing 4.

History:

This car was dispatched to Canada on April 9th, 1964. It was sold to the original owner in Vancouver. It came with single fuel tank (right hand fuel tank was optional until 66'), with the only options being a heater and laminated windscreen. We are the third registered owners' of the car. It was purchased from the second owner as a bare shell and a large number of cardboard boxes. The restoration was completed from January 2001 to May 2001, other than the body &. paint work. The owners, with the exception of the painting of the shell, machining, chroming, and upholstery stitching did all work. This car is in the middle of the 1071 production run, which lasted from January 1963 to August 1964. Approximately 4031 1071cc Cooper "S" models were built, which covered both the Austin and Morris line. Around 866 Austin’s were exported from the beginning of the production run to the end.
